Jebel Ali Temple Dubai – My Personal Experience with Cost

I recently visited the Jebel Ali Hindu Temple in Dubai and thought I’d share a quick guide on how to get there easily using the metro, & taxi.
If you’re planning to visit for darshan or just want to see this peaceful and beautiful temple, here’s everything you need to know.
In this post, I’ll share exactly how I reached the temple using the Dubai Metro, RTA Bus, and on another day, by taxi, with cost, timings, and my honest tips. 🙏
📍 Where Is the Temple Located?
The temple is located in Jebel Ali Village, inside Dubai’s Worship Village — right next to churches and a Sikh Gurdwara. It’s a perfect example of the peaceful coexistence we see here in the UAE.
I went on a weekday, and it was calm and spiritual. The surroundings are clean, well-organized, and respectful of all faiths.

Nearest Metro Station to Jebel Ali Hindu Temple
The closest metro station is Energy (Red Line). That’s where I got off. You can also stop at Ibn Battuta Station, which is slightly farther but still doable.

My Route – Metro + Bus
Budget-Friendly Option to reach the Hindu Temple Jabal Ali, Dubai. Here’s exactly how I went:-
- I took the Red Line metro and got off at Energy Station.
- From there, I caught the RTA Bus F44 (you’ll find the feeder buses right outside).
- The bus dropped me near Jebel Ali Gardens.
- From the bus stop, it was just a short walk (around 8 minutes) to the temple.
This is the cheapest way if you have time and prefer public transport. Just make sure you have your Nol card ready.
When I was coming back, I took taken taxi from the temple and got off at Energy Metro station & it took approximately 10 minutes and it cost only AED12.
Prefer Comfort? Take a Taxi or Careem
If you’re with family, elderly folks, or just want comfort, take a taxi or book through Careem/Uber.
- I checked the fare — a taxi from Energy Station or IBN Metro Station costs around AED 12–20.
- From anywhere in Dubai (like Bur Dubai or Deira), the ride can take 25–30 minutes, depending on traffic.
During summer, I recommend this option to avoid the heat.
Dubai Hindu Temple Timings
When I visited, these were the timings:
- Open Daily: 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM
- Evening Aarti: 7:30 PM (highly recommend — very peaceful!)
But before visiting, it’s best to check the timings on their official website.
✅ Important Tips from My Experience
- You need to book your visit online — I registered at hindutempledubai.com and got a QR code via email.
- Dress modestly. It’s a temple, so avoid shorts or sleeveless clothes.
- Shoes are not allowed inside. There’s a rack to keep them outside.
- Weekday mornings or early evenings are the best times to avoid the crowd.
